Dr. Klingenstein was born in, Texas and raised in the small town of Valley City, North Dakota. After graduating from high school, she attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. There she majored in Biology and minored in both Chemistry and English Writing, receiving her B.A. in 2004.

Dr. Klingenstein attended College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University graduating in 2012. She then completed a three year podiatry surgical residency at Eastern Colorado Healthcare Systems, VA Denver Colorado. During residency she had extensive training in wound care and limb salvage techniques. She graduated in 2015 with certification in forefoot, rear foot, and ankle reconstructive surgery.

She is passionate about helping alleviate foot and ankle pain while working closely with patients to help them achieve their treatment goals. She especially enjoys treating sports injuries, educating people about diabetic foot care, and when needed performing reconstructive foot surgery. Dr. Klingenstein joined Alliance Foot and Ankle in 2015. She also treats patients at the Wound Care Center at Providence and sees inpatients at PAMC and Alaska Regional Hospital.

Dr. Klingenstein has loved becoming part of the community in Anchorage while making Alaska home. Her interests outside of work include hiking, running and spending time with her husband Max, their two young boys, and their French bulldog Caesar.
